A New Year -- A New You!

I'm sure you've heard that the cells of our bodies replace themselves throughout our lives. One could say we are new people every seven years! That's not completely accurate, but you get the picture. The question is, are you changing with your body? Your thoughts, ideas, talents? Do you allow a new you to emerge -- to grow and change with the experiences you have and the wisdom you gain? Or, do you cling to the old you? (By the way, if you do, that's normal -- we all feel more comfortable with what we know.)

Change is non-negotiable, isn't it? Change is ongoing, and how we embrace change will have a lot to do with the quality of our lives. I invite you, this new year, to embrace the changes occurring in your life and allow the new you to emerge. Look at how you are being asked to grow and change, and how you can use that growth to serve others. And, most of all, share your joy, your wisdom, and your love. We all benefit!

So, in this newsletter edition, let's start by giving you a chance to reflect on your 2011. Were you successful in yours eyes? What does that mean to you? What story are you telling yourself? I share my thoughts in the video below.

With the past behind us, it's time to focus on now! This year, I'm going to bring a wider variety of information to you in Create, Inspire, Serve! I decided to embrace more subjects so I could be of greater value to you! I'll be adding my Your Authentic Voice techniques to the story and presentation skills coaching and training techniques I already share to help you get to the crux of your message and then deliver it brilliantly. I'll use individual stories to show you different ways you can deliver them using these techniques. I'll also be unveiling some new ideas and opportunities as they become available, so stay tuned!

Discover Your "Greenness" at The Urban Farm

One would not expect to find a sanctuary growing in the heart of urban Phoenix, but why not? Transforming residential landscape into an edible delight is the inspiration behind the Urban Farm, located at 6750 N. 13th Place -- the heart of north central Phoenix. Sink your teeth into a juicy pear, add some fresh basil to your favorite dish or sauté some seasonal vegetables; all these delights and more could be found within your arms reach, right in your own backyard.

The Urban Farm is the brainchild of Greg Peterson. While it was officially launched in 2001, in reality it has been created in small steps over 20 years. Greg is a green living and sustainability innovator who says that the concept and reality of an Urban Farm "not only awakens the possibility to reconnect with the earth and agriculture in simple, practical ways, but also nourishes the promise of a future that will sustain life for years to come." And, according to Greg, anyone, and everyone, can have an Urban Farm.

The Urban Farm provides plenty of opportunities for you to experience your "greenness" with a number of classes. This month you'll find "Growing Food, The Basics;" "Urban Farm Train the Trainer;" Urban Farmer classes on a variety of topics; and "Trusting You Are Loved." For more information or to sign up, go to UrbanFarm.org.
