Create. Inspire. Serve!

Welcome!
What do we tell ourselves in our organizations about what we do and why we do it? Is the information consistent and accurate? I find that team members often aren't aware of how the organization got started, its successes, and even its setbacks. Without this information, is it possible to really represent the organization well?

Stories are an effective, powerful way to communicate this information. To learn more, see the Creativity Tip below.

Enjoy!

Creativity Tip: Four Stories Every Organization Needs to Have

How do you convey your values, create meaning for what you do, or transfer expertise and skill? If you're not using stories, you're missing the proverbial boat.

Organizations can consciously use stories to help transfer knowledge and create buy-in not only externally, but internally as well. Stories that accurately and authentically reflect the organization's culture and values can be deliberately developed and shared to support employee engagement and loyalty and provide the context for conversation and knowledge management.

"Your Story and Your Brand Walk Hand in Hand"

Does your team know the meaning, value and reason for your work? Can your audience articulate that clearly? Does it reflect the truth?

Make sure your team is communicating what really matters. Andrea's new coaching, training and consulting program delivers concrete results so you can experience greater opportunity and prosperity.

"Andrea's program on branding was a huge success! Andrea helped our members take a deep and focused look at the language they use to differentiate themselves, how they back that up with their introductory speech, and how to create engagement with potential customers in an enjoyable and meaningful way. I highly recommend her." Micki Lang, Assistant Executive Officer, Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS®

Contact Andrea to schedule a Discovery Conversation so you can cut through the confusion and deliver clear, powerful messages. Andrea only schedules a few of these per week, so call or email to schedule yours at 602-769-3674 or [email protected].

Tell Your Story!

In every issue we focus on an individual or organization that is making a difference in our world. This issue, we are featuring Cultivate South Phoenix, or CUSP.

Cultivate South Phoenix Inspires Community Wellness

"I try to walk my dog and I'm surrounded by a pack of stray dogs."

This comment was just one of a number of comments expressed to ASU graduate students studying the South Phoenix community about the fear these community members experience walking through the neighborhood. Conversations like these, and the ideas they generate, are one of the main reasons people connected to South Phoenix are excited about CUSP.

Cultivate South Phoenix (CUSP) is a coalition of residents and organizations committed to inspiring community wellness in South Phoenix through a broad range of initiatives.

The coalition works with the public school system to allow a holistic response to the needs and strengths of each child and family within the South Phoenix area.

To address the stray dog problem, the ASU students proposed creating a Dog Rehabilitation Center -- a school for dogs -- located at Brooks Academy -- a school -- that would offer job training to the community -- a trade school. In other words, a school within a school within a school!

Participants at the center would be trained for several animal-oriented professions including dog trainer, dog groomer, kennel attendant, and pet sitter. Students may then go on to learn other occupations such as veterinarian assistant, veterinarian technician or veterinarian.

These kinds of innovative ideas are the result of a partnership focused on building on strengths and taking a collaborative approach to problem solving. If you'd like to learn more about CUSP, please email [email protected].
