Is There A Saboteur In Your Psyche Called . . . Stage Fright?
Sweaty palms. Dry mouth. Shaky voice. The list goes on and on. These are some of the symptoms those of us with stage fright can experience to a greater or lesser degree. These and others I'm not comfortable sharing in this newsletter!
I've spoken to half a dozen people in the last few of weeks who are struggling with stage fright, some so severely they can hardly make a presentation to one or two people, let alone to a group. What's this about?
As a recovering victim of stage fright, this is what I've found to be the bottom line -- we fear rejection because we think there is something about us that will be judged as less than worthy, whether that is our knowledge, expertise, appearance, voice, or presentation. We think it's about us, and in our minds, we come up wanting.
Perhaps you don't have this problem, but most assuredly, someone in your group does.
For those who do, we often don't know what the source of this fear is, and definitely don't know what to do with it. Here's the good news! You can overcome this saboteur in your psyche and find greater comfort and confidence.
If you're ready to let go of this burden once and for all, let's talk! Email me at [email protected] or call me at 602-769-3674. I use specific tools to help you move through this and be the powerful presenter and communicator you want to be!
In the meantime, watch the video in the Creativity Tip video below to receive insight on how to vanquish this saboteur and become an irresistible force for your cause!
With gratitude,
"We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses." Carl Jung

Creativity Tip: How to Vanquish the Stage Fright Saboteur in Your Psyche
You've just been invited to give a presentation to a group of potential clients or donors and instead of being excited to share your information, you dread it. Why? STAGE FRIGHT!
You don't have to be on a stage to have stage fright. It's really about the nervousness and anxiety we experience anytime we think we're not up to the task. Being on a stage in front of a hundred, or a thousand, people seems to make it much worse.
What to do? Watch this video to begin the process of vanquishing that saboteur in your psyche!
Enjoy!

Tales of Transformation and Artistry!
I've expanded this section to include tales of transformation and artistry from a wide variety of sources. I'll still write stories about organizations doing good work, of course! I also want to share interesting articles and links I've found. I hope you enjoy these playful romps on the wild side!
Conversational narcissism. I love how deftly this term describes what I'm sure we've all contributed to and experienced -- monologues when you were expecting a dialogue. I don't know about you, but I always feel invisible and a little peeved when this happens.
I read this article, and while it's on a site that is about "manliness," it's really an article for men and women on how to recognize and deal with "conversational narcissism." It's a worthwhile read.
I'd love to entertain your guests at your next event with your favorite song and a selection of contemporary, light jazz and country favorites!

New Video Release!
One Heart, One Mind
by Andrea Beaulieu and Richard Palalay
I'm beyond thrilled to share the video Richard Palalay and I produced to share our new song, One Heart, One Mind. We had a lot of help from friends. Richard Gehrke and Robert Zusman contributed their stunning photography. Richard Gehrke and Jim Pfingst helped us learn how to use IMovie -- that was a stretch for me, I can tell you!
Click on this photo to see our video. I hope you will share it. Let's get this message out there!
One Heart, One Mind
A moment (actually 5 minutes) of musical delight for only $.99!
Richard and Andrea have come together to create heartfelt and uplifting music that is emotionally and spiritually exciting and reminds us of our connection to one another.
One Heart One Mind is a song for our time. The song begins with Richard's poignant solo piano intro that draws you in with its simple and evocative mood, setting the stage for Andrea's exquisite and stirring vocals. It picks up tempo and takes the listener on a transcendent orchestral and choral journey filled with hope and happiness.
