Culture Catalyst Principles
My work is grounded in these core principles. They have emerged as a result of not only all those years of experience, but actually learning from them!
We are more connected than we know, and most successful when we work together for our common victory. Providing an opportunity for the group to jointly discover and align with a common purpose - a treasured destination, mission, vision or goal - ignites commitment and momentum and drives them forward.
Each individual has a unique voice - an authentic calling - and the talents and skills to back that up. Supporting that individual to fully bring that voice, their talents and skills, to the work of the organization reaps great rewards in leadership, loyalty, creativity and productivity.
When we understand the value of working together from a place of respect, good will and generosity, and learn the skills to do that, we create a culture of accomplishment, appreciation and enthusiasm about the present and the future.
We engage the hearts and minds of our team when we make time to reflect and celebrate. This inspires warm regard, friendship and happy, smiling faces! (I love happy, smiling faces. Especially yours when you're pleased with your results.)
Change ultimately leads to more opportunity - to learn, to grow, to prosper. It's all about finding that opportunity and being willing to take the risk to succeed, or even fail. (Yikes!) Isn't failure often our greatest teacher? We really have to get more okay with this. We learn how to grow through change by becoming more comfortable with discomfort and ambiguity, by becoming more self-aware, and by opening to new and different kinds of possibilities.
