Julie N.'s Success Story

Hi Andrea,
You have been on my mind a lot lately and I've been meaning to write & say hello. I hope you are doing well!

I had an incredible experience happen in my life this week and have YOU to thank. I'm still a bit in shock so please bear with my lengthy message...

Remember last year you suggested I create a "vision board" of things (articles, photos, etc) that moved me? Well, I never created the board but instead kept a folder of some magazine ads/photos and two articles that hit something inside of me. (I only collected a handful of items and then never really continued with it.) Well, one of the two articles I cut out was a story in the AZ Republic about a country music singer named Jimmy Wayne who was beginning a charity walk (on his own) from Nashville to Phoenix to raise awareness of children in need of foster homes. I was really touched by his story and what he was doing as an activist and singer to make a difference for others. I don't follow country music so had never heard of him before but still loved his story enough to add to my vision folder. This was back in January, almost a year ago.

Earlier this week I was in Nashville for a training seminar at the Gaylord Opryland. On the final night after dinner, the hotel had a special surprise entertainer for us. Low and behold... it was Jimmy Wayne! I didn't even realize it was him until he started telling the audience about his charity walk. I almost fell off my seat and the tears started flowing. I couldn't believe I was able to see the man in person who made it into my vision folder!

Andrea, I would have been content just seeing him perform but thought this was a sign and I needed to meet him afterward. When he was done performing, i made it a point to go meet him and share the story of how HIS story impacted my life. He was impressed, hugged me, and asked me for my business card. Well, the very next day he emailed me and we met for an iced tea on my way to the airport!!! Felt an immediate connection with him. He's been emailing and texting me the last few days and I'm completely blown away! He's an absolutely amazing man.

I don't know what all this means or where it's going, but I feel so blessed to have met him. I'm inspired to start volunteering again and want to do more to help others. I have YOU to thank for this experience, Andrea. If it wasn't for you, I never would have created my file of people who inspire me. Nor, would I have had the courage to meet this person whom I so admire. In addition, Jimmy has brought me some luck this week as today I received a call back from my *first* client as an independent meeting planner! (I've been trying for 3 months now and was ready to give up. Then the call came this morning. There are some extra special angels helping me out this week!)

I am so grateful for you and the words "thank you" are not enough to express my gratitude for all you've done to help me. Andrea, if there's anything I can do to reciprocate or help you out in any way PLEASE let me know!
