Move Past Your Speaking Horror Story into Your Speaking Brilliance!

I know you’ve heard it. You share a disappointing speaking experience with a friend and you’re told, “It’s okay. The next time will be better.” Or, “You’re great! Don’t worry about it. I’m sure no one noticed.” Or, my favorite, “I don’t know why you’re so upset. These things happen. You’re not perfect, you know.”

For some, this advice would work, and certainly, there are kernels of truth in all of it. I haven’t found it to be enough, though, and neither have many of my clients.

To move past those speaking horror stories often takes a little more effort and a lot more heart.
